It was nearly two months back that I started my blog Holify with the help of Blogger, starting with a Holy Verse from the Bible. The verse posted was nothing other than this. "As you go, proclaim the Good News, 'The Kingdom of heaven has come near.' (Mt: 10: 7).
It was one of the most touching words for me. I believe that being a Christian is thus a call to be preachers or missionaries as it is said that you are to proclaim the message while 'you are on the go'. It does not need any preparation but prayer to the Holy Spirit whom God has given to us as a helper.
When you and I say that we are Christians, we have to remember that we need to do at least a bit of evangelization work in our life. As far as I am concerned, the absence of evangelization work in our life would mean that we are not real Christians. Either we need not say that we are Christians - the real followers of Jesus Christ in literally speaking.
I have seen many people live without faith in the Lord Jesus, but show themselves as great followers of Christ. Though they do not go to the Church for receiving the Holy Eucharist, they are in front of all church activities in order that they may be get noticed. These kinds of people will not go unpunished.
What Christ want and His people need is not this kind of people but people who are really ready to die for Christ. In the present scenario where religion is getting weakened, dying for a religion may not be a usual thing for any ordinary one, but surely for the fanatics and terrorists.
Let our lives be chiseled with Christ's love and let us make sure that our words, actions and thoughts are not against what we are ought to be.
